China, South Korea, and Japan are holding their first three-way forum on public diplomacy here in Beijing today.

The forum is aimed at promoting cooperation among the three nations. It will run through the day, with three sub-forums separately focusing on political, economic and cultural cooperation. The forum is an outcome of a leaders meeting last year, where the three countries resumed a trilateral summit in Seoul, South Korea.

It was the first such meeting in about three years, aimed to repair relations strained by historical and territorial issues.
