CPD Research Associate Launches Global Media Monitor

As part of his course entitled "International Broadcasting: Influence and Power in the Age of Information," CPD Research Associate Shawn Powers has launched the Global Media Monitor blog to monitor how different international broadcasters are covering and framing global events. Media outlets monitored by him and his students include Russia Today, Telesur, Press TV, Al-Jazeera English, Al-Manar, NHK World and more. Powers' course is part of the Master of Public Diplomacy (MPD) program at the University of Southern California.
