Soccer Star Raises Awareness of World Hunger with 50 New Tattoos

During a league match on February 14, 2014, Swedish soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic took off his shirt to reveal the addition of 50 new tattoos covering his upper body. In an effort to raise awareness about world hunger, the Paris Saint-Germaine striker had temporarily tattooed the names of 50 starving children across his chest. The video demonstrates how a celebrity athlete and public figure can amplify the work of an NGO (he partnered with the UN's World Food Programme) to facilitate a dialogue about a very real and very prevalent problem: starvation.
