Aug. 26-28, Bhutan will celebrate its seventh Mountain Echoes Literary Festival. The three-day festival is uniquely set against the backdrop of the verdant Himalayas in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Mountain Echoes is a confluence of art, music, literature and new media, serving as the ideal platform for debate, discussion, and cultural exchange.

OSSSO Fusion Musical Experience "Sound of the Nature" - a special Asia - Europe music experience with the unique combination of folk music, light music and symphonic music was first performed abroad in the cultural exchange festival of Vietnam from July 11th 2016 to July 15th 2016 at the cultural capital Saint Petersburg, Russia, which brought the cultural pride of Vietnam to the Russian music lovers.

An international touring group will bring one of the most traditional Korean love stories to life Sunday, July 17, on the Sunnyside High School stage. The performance of “Choon-Hyang,” a love story vaguely resembling “Romeo and Juliet,” will be performed by Theater Seoul, an English-language youth theater group whose members travel the world to sing and dance.

Cuban ambassador Carlos Fernández de Cossío has for the first time attended the 4th of July celebrations by the United States embassy in Pretoria. De Cossio even had a private meeting with US ambassador Patrick Gaspard on the sidelines of the celebrations at his official home on Thursday. The Miami theme included the serving of Cuban food and a performance by an Afro-Cuban band.

Cuban programming is coming to U.S. airwaves thanks to DISH, the Colorado-based provider with 13.9 million TV subscribers. The company will launch a new channel on Thursday called CUBAMAX TV, which will carry entertainment programming created in Cuba featuring some of the island's most famous celebrities. The channel will not feature any political or news programming, but instead will focus on comedies, children's programming, music videos and telenovelas.

In a tour that includes visits to Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Beijing and Japan, the Philadelphia Orchestra is expanding its connection with the people of China through additional avenues beyond sold-out concerts. More than a tour that focuses exclusively on music, this 2016 tour includes social cross-cultural components as well.
