For the past three weeks, guided by faculty from Harvard University and the University of Antioquia, School of Medicine, 16 medical and public health students, eight from the U.S. and eight from Colombia, have been engaged in a health diplomacy exchange through a platform of experiential learning and problem-solving.

Open Hands Initiative (OHI) will host its 5th international people-to-people exchange to foster dialogue and goodwill between the U.S. and developing countries.

Twenty young female American and Jordanian entrepreneurs have been selected to participate in a week-long cultural exchange and fellowship in Amman, Jordan through a not-for-profit partnership between Open Hands Initiative and the Women First Enterprise (WFE), a branch of the Angel Resource Institute (ARI). 

Twenty of the most promising young American and Jordanian women startup founders and entrepreneurs will soon have an unprecedented opportunity to participate in a week-long cultural exchange and fellowship in Amman, Jordan through a not-for-profit partnership between the Open Hands Initiative, Angel Resource Institute (ARI), and ARI's Women's First Enterprise program.  In its first exchange program aimed at building a bridge between the people of the United States and Jordan, Open Hands Initiative will host 20 top women entrepreneurs—10 from the U.S.

We saw how well the concept worked in Cairo at a critical time in Egypt's history, and we hope to be equally effective here. The partnership emerges from the core mission of the Open Hands Initiative, a non-profit organization that supports unique projects around the world that promote what its founder and chairman Jay Snyder calls "people to people diplomacy." Snyder, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, is a passionate practitioner and generous supporter of public diplomacy who will join us later in the journey.
