Consulting Director of Chinese Programs from American Councils for International Education (ACIE) Mr. Anthony J. Kane visited National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in southern Taiwan on June 22, to strengthen partnership and promote public diplomacy between Taiwan and the United States. [...] They also discussed the possibility of seeking the support from NCKU’s alumni in Taiwan and in the US to support ACIE’s projects.

Now, acting as the US State Department's Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, Stengel sat down with AJ+ presenter Dena Takuri on Wednesday to discuss the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). The gathering brings together more than 1,000 young innovators, investors, and government officials with the goal of establishing socially and environmentally conscious businesses around the world.

The Reagan Library will welcome its newest exhibit next week, displaying works of art that until now have been seen only in embassies outside the United States. In its historic debut at the Reagan Library at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, the Foundation for Arts and Preservation in Embassies will present its Original Print, Photography and Site-Specific collections from June 23 to Aug. 7.

This year, The US State Department has sent jazz musicians "Ari Roland Jazz Quartet" as cultural ambassadors to Pakistan to increase mutual relationship between the two countries. The US State Department is working with the Foundation for Arts Culture and Education (FACE) to connect musicians in both countries.

GDW is held annually to create awareness, enable collaboration and enhance learning amongst those working with diaspora communities in different locations around the world. 

The US State Department is asking for more than $6 million to convert its Interests Section in Havana to an embassy and $528,000 for a new program called “Cuba Outreach Initiative,” budget documents show.

On May 11, the Department of State’s Office of Art in Embassies (AIE) American Artist Lecture Series will feature noted artist Glenn Ligon in conversation with London-based designer and curator Duro Olowu at the Tate Modern in London. AIE’s lecture series, in collaboration with U.S. Embassy London and the Tate Modern, has featured artists Brice Marden, Maya Lin, Richard Tuttle, Spencer Finch, and Julie Mehretu.
