One Beijing international primary school hosted an event on Saturday in order to enhance the cultural understanding and exchange between Uzbek and Chinese youngsters.

This friendly exchange meeting, as the school called it, was held in Fangcaodi International School's affiliate Shiji Primary School in Beijing, under the theme of "Paint a flower of friendship, sing a song of peace."

More than a hundred paintings by both countries' kids were on display in the school, using the craft of painting as a universal language tool to showcase the folk art-and its inherent diversity- of both nations, as well as to enhance the communication between two peoples. Several Uzbek artists, including Sadykov Marat and Kadirov Gafur, attended to enjoy the children's creations.

Young performers from both countries made the most of the school's theater stage and put on several song-and-dance performances. Uzbekistan's ambassador Mr. Kurbanov Daniyar and his counselors were also in attendance.

This event was co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Fangcaodi International School's Shiji Primary School, the Uzbek embassy in China and the Forum of Culture & Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation in China.
