Sohaela Amiri is a Research Associate at the USC Center on Public Diplomacy. In this capacity, she works on CPD-initiated research and consulting projects that entail program evaluation, data analysis and program development. Sohaela is a PRGS Fellow at the RAND Corporation and a PhD Candidate in Policy Analysis. Her dissertation tackles the notion of City Diplomacy. Beyond researching soft power and influence dynamics in international affairs, much of her work at RAND is related to framework design, complex problems, and systems analysis.
As a graduate of USC's Master of Public Diplomacy program, Sohaela hopes to bridge the field of policy analysis with public diplomacy.
