KEEP READINGCPD Bids Farewell to Andrew Kohut
Andrew Kohut, the founding director of the Pew Research Center, died earlier today. He was a good friend to the public diplomacy team at USC especially during our start-up phase when he was a regular visitor to campus and a valued collaborator on a number of projects. Listening is central to public diplomacy and Kohut made a profession of listening to the world. "He was eloquent and authoritative in passing on what he heard, even when the country did not especially want to know what the world was thinking," said Nicholas J. Cull, director of the USC Master of Public Diplomacy Program. His voice will be much missed.
