The cabinet on Friday approved the setting up of an international research and law division at the Wisma Putra, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim said..."The ministry should strive to achieve an exemplary standard in its international and maritime law services as well as in other areas such as public diplomacy and organisational law which are interrelated to foreign policy services."

Activists Warned on Olympic Protests
In the latest sign of efforts to prevent dissent during the Beijing Olympics, political activists in Shanghai say they have been warned against expressing their opinions, speaking with foreigners or visiting Beijing until after the Games. The activists, who have petitioned the city government over grievances in the past, say they were summoned by the police, or detained and issued warnings against making political statements before or during the Games.
Bush Nominates Former Dow Jones CEO For Broadcasting Board
President George W. Bush nominated former Dow Jones Chief Executive Officer Peter Kann to be a member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors...If confirmed by the Senate, Kann would serve out the remainder of former BBG Chairman James Glassman's three-year term, which expires in August 2010.
Elmo and friends to visit children at bases
The Muppets’ Sesame Street Experience for Military Families tour kicks off July 8 at Twentynine Palms, Calif., and proceeds to 42 other installations around the country, ending at Camp Ripley in Little Falls, Minn., on Nov. 2. It’s the first time in the nearly 40-year history of Sesame Street that the Muppets have done a live outreach program, said Gary Knell, president and chief executive officer of Sesame Workshop in a June 26 ceremony announcing the tour.
Is War as Diplomacy Obsolete
