2012 CPD Summer Institute Concludes after an Intensive Two Weeks of Training
The seventh annual CPD Summer Institute in Public Diplomacy concluded on August 3rd. Twenty-three participants spent two weeks engaging in vigorous study, critical debate, and dynamic teamwork designed to enhance the practice of public diplomacy.

CPD Announces Seventh Summer Institute Class (2012)
The USC Center on Public Diplomacy will kick off its 2012 Summer Institute in Public Diplomacy at USC on July 23. The professional training program will run through August 3. Now in its seventh year, the CPD Summer Institute in Public Diplomacy is an intensive two-week course designed to immerse participants in the critical study of public diplomacy by combining traditional classroom instruction with collaborative hands-on exercises.

SI ‘10 Alum Sausan Ghosheh accompanied the United Nations monitors in Syria and spoke to the NY Times about the horrific tragedy in Mazraat al-Qubeir on June 9th. She said it would take time to sort out conflicting information from residents of neighboring villages. “We need to go back, cross-reference what we have heard and check the names they say were killed, check the names they say are missing.”
