The British High Commission has expressed the UK’s commitment to widen the scope of scholarship to Ghana to benefit more Ghanaians in future. Officially welcoming the beneficiaries of the Chevening Scholarship back to Ghana, at a ceremony in Accra, the British High  Commissioner to Ghana, said the UK government was proud of the initiative which had benefited more than 1,500 Ghanaians and many more people globally.

The scholarship winners would pursue their high learning education in the top Chinese universities [...] Handing out credentials to the winners at a ceremony held on the premises of the embassy yesterday Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia La Yifan said that over the year the Chinese government has granted 236 scholarship to Ethiopian students.

The government is set to launch a new scholarship program for students coming from countries involved in the country’s Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, the Beijing Times reported.
