Former Director of Voice of America Mary Bitterman

Mary G. Bitterman discussed her career in public broadcasting at a student roundtable moderated by Nicholas Cull.

Ms. Bitterman detailed her early career as Executive Director of the Hawaii Public Broadcasting Authority, Director of the East-West Center's Institute of Culture and Communication, and Director of Voice of America.

She currently serves as Chair of PBS' Board of Directors and is president of The Bernard Osher Foundation, which seeks to improve quality of life through scholarships and arts and humanities grants.
