ISA 2019 International Communication Reception

For the 3rd year in a row, CPD is proud to co-sponsor the International Communication Division (ICOMM) networking reception at ISA 2019 in Toronto on March 28. 

The reception will gather scholars interested in the impact of information technologies in world politics, the role of the media in foreign policy, cultural dimensions of international studies, the political economy of communications industries and information in the global order.

The ICOMM board will recognize the following international communication achievements:

• ICOMM 2019 Best Book Award: Networked Publics and Digital Contention (Oxford University Press) by Dr. Mohamed Zayani (Georgetown University, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in Qatar)
   
• ICOMM 2019 Best Paper Award: "Transnational Non-State Actors as 'Alt Agents' of Public Diplomacy" by Dr. Anna Popkova (Western Michigan University)
