USC Visiting Professor of Public Diplomacy Dr. Eytan Gilboa discussed modern media approaches to covering international conflict from varying journalistic and public diplomacy perspectives in a presentation titled, "The Media and International Conflict" in Annenberg Room 240.

Eytan Gilboa is a professor of Communication and Government, at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He is a world-known expert on international communication and US Policy in the Middle East. Gilboa has published several books and numerous articles and has won several significant awards. In 2002 he won the Shorenstein Fellowship and was a Senior Research Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In 2001 he won the Best Article Award of the International Communication Association awarded for the best article published in scholarly periodicals in communication.
