Marc Lynch discussed public diplomacy and the transformation of Arab media in a lecture titled "Voices of the New Arab Public," also the title of his new book.

Lynch received his Ph.D in government from Cornell University. He is currently an Associate Professor of political science at Williams College. His research interests focus on the role of deliberation and public spheres in international relations, with a primary empirical focus on the Middle East. He is currently researching the sanctions on Iraq.
