The Humiliation Doctrine v. The Humility Doctrine
The Obama White House doesn't like to use the word "apology." They speak instead of dignity promotion, or acknowledgment of "mutual interests' or of "soft power." And despite its Christian influences, it is a profoundly secular worldview, one that does not justify its action by some reference to an idealized "America" or the sanction of God. At the same time, it manages to be universalizing.
Prescott Resident Reaches New Heights Down Under
Prescott resident Robb Martin scattered myth to the winds during his month-long visit to Australia earlier this year. He traveled to Australia as part of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International's Group Study Exchange program, and his trip was also unique because it was the first time the exchange program invited individuals who are all confined to wheelchairs.

Furthermore, our messages can be spread not only by the Government of Israel but also by our supporters around the world for whom it is important--and rightfully so--to give the Israeli narrative worldwide attention.
Where’s U.S. Public Diplomacy When Bin Laden Whines About Obama?
But more distressing that bin Laden’s expected bleating is the lack of rapid response from the administration’s public diplomacy infrastructure. If this were a political campaign, the pushback would have begun already. But so far there’s nothing from the State Department’s blog taking bin Laden’s message down.
Television Diplomacy
"Yes, it is part of our public diplomacy. Alhurra today has a budget of $126m a year. We don't carry any advertising. We are subsidised by the American taxpayer. The American taxpayer is not paying for entertainment for people living in the Middle East. They are paying for the promotion of freedom and democracy, through news and information," he says.
Obama Should Recall Chicago On His tour
As he wanders in Arab-Islamic lands, he should be guided less by the ghastly images of the 9/11 attacks, and more by his two seminal experiences in Chicago as a community organizer and law professor. Law and rights, not terror and revenge, should be the lenses through which he encounters the Arab-Islamic world.
