UK - MFA - The global change we need: Campaigning Diplomacy
A central premise of the Obama Presidency is that the solution of our problems involves not just a new partnership between states but a new partnership between state and citizen. This theme is all the more important because in the last decade, the political classes across established democracies have engaged in a familiar lament.
Why it is in U.S.’s interests to promote democracy in Singapore
Mr Obama should send a strong message to the entire world that such “soft” dictatorships like Singapore has no place in the free world. Through clever branding and propaganda, the Singapore government has managed to portray itself as a modern, thriving and prospering first world nation, but it still doesn’t hide the fact that it has a third world “democracy” if it is the correct word to use.

Hands OFF!
The conference last Thursday focused on some interesting concepts regarding cultural diplomacy. But, one thing kind of made me tick. The panelist came to the conclusion that the US does not value a nationally defined culture.
