Morgan and Glenn will discuss Morgan’s innovative work as an Industry Liaison for the Bureau of Consular Affairs and his current role with the U.S. Mission to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

About Morgan O'Brien

A 15-year veteran of the Foreign Service, Morgan O’Brien recently began an assignment as the deputy spokesperson at the U.S. Mission to NATO in Brussels, Belgium.  Most recently, he was posted in New York where he served as the first Industry Liaison for the Bureau of Consular Affairs, charged with helping businesses return to pre-pandemic operations with a focus on visas and global mobility.

Morgan’s overseas tours include Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he was the press attaché; and Brazzaville, Congo, where he was the Consul of the United States.  Domestically, he was the sports diplomacy officer in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, a Council on Foreign Relations Fellow detailed to the National Basketball Association, and for his first tour, he was the “body man” for Ambassador Richard Holbrooke.  A Long Island native, Morgan is an Air Force veteran and an alumnus of the University of North Carolina and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
