Announcing New CPD Student Fellow

CPD is pleased to announce the selection of Demme Durrett as CPD Student Fellow starting this spring 2022 semester.

The human rights activist joins us from New York by way of Texas and will continue her interest in cultural diplomacy through the USC Annenberg Master in Public Diplomacy program. Durrett received a B.A. in American Studies and Human Rights from Columbia University, Barnard College and has since worked with the U.S. Department of State executing diplomatic events at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. She is a Gold Level recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award and received both the Human Rights Hero Award presented by Youth for Human Rights, International at a human rights summit held at the UN and the Girl Scout Gold Award. At CPD, Durrett will develop cross-platform multimedia content on a variety of global affairs topics, work on research-related projects and administer CPD-hosted events.

Durrett will join a veteran group of dedicated student interns at the Center.

About the CPD Student Fellowship Program

This program was established in 2014 to help recruit the best students to USC. It provides funding for outstanding graduate students to pursue their studies and work at CPD developing, conducting and promoting our various projects.
