PDiN Monitor May/June Issue Out Now

The May/June issue of PDiN Monitor, CPD's electronic review of public diplomacy in the news, features the 2010 Shanghai Expo.

In this issue:

  • In his article, titled The 2010 Shanghai Expo, Cultural Diplomacy and a Tale of Three States: China, North Korea and the U.S., Neal M. Rosendorf explores the international impact of world expos and national pavilions on cultural and public diplomacy.
     
  • In PDiN Spotlight, Peter Winter, USC Master’s in Public Diplomacy program graduate, and Cesar Corona, Master’s in Public Diplomacy degree candidate, provide unique insight into the Expo as they have seen it develop through On the Ground-Reports from Shanghai. This section also features CPD Video Conversations: Nation Branding at Expo 2010 Shanghai, a new video blog series which will feature select countries’ nation branding efforts at the World Expo.
     
  • The PDiN Extras section includes a round up of PDiN Headlines about the Gaza Flotilla and CPD Book Review by recent Master’s of Public Diplomacy graduate Joshua Saidoff of The United States and Public Diplomacy: New Directions in Cultural and International History, written by Kenneth Osgood and Brian Etheridge.
