December-January 2012: View from CPD
The New Year has begun in rousing fashion thanks to the team of Public Diplomacy students from USC whose winter break trip to India has produced a stream of insightful reports about how India is elevating its public diplomacy to match its growing stature in global affairs. The content of this issue of PDiN Monitor provides insights from our students and from India’s top public diplomacy official, Navdeep Suri. Navdeep is an alumnus of our Summer Institute in Public Diplomacy, the Center’s intensive two-week training program for mid-career professionals. We are currently accepting applications for the 2012 class which will take place this year from July 22-August 3. Please visit our web site for details about the program and how to apply.
CPD’s Water Diplomacy Initiative is proceeding, and it will be highlighted by our Water Diplomacy conference at USC on February 27. Please check the special section of our website devoted to this topic. If you are in Los Angeles that day, please come join us.
As always, we appreciate your interest in CPD’s work and we welcome your comments or questions.
