In this breakout panel, hosted by Tech@State on October 3 and moderated by Darrell West from the Brookings Institution, panelists from the U.S. Department of State, Peace Corps, Ushahidi, and USAID, explored how mobile technologies are empowering U.S. diplomacy. In the information age, diplomats have a lot more tools at their disposal to conduct statecraft, especially in the mobile realm, but they need to become more adept in making effective use of new technologies. The panel highlighted innovative mobile strategies that U.S. diplomacy can use to advance American interests abroad.
