Art Project in Turkey Seeks to Bridge Ethnic Divide

This new video from VOA News explores how cultural diplomacy can help bridge ethnic and regional divides in Turkey. For the past 18 months, Turkish and Kurdish youth have worked together to produce joint art projects, such as video documentaries, photographs and paintings, in an effort to facilitate cross-cultural dialogue and understanding. As one participant noted, “When we finished the project and exhibited these photographs, we can see the preciousness of peace”a key public diplomacy takeaway made all the more poignant in wake of the recent collapse of peace talks between two communities.
