The Center on Public Diplomacy hosted the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy April 23. The commissioners considered comments from USC faculty members addressing the current state of U.S. public diplomacy, ranging from international broadcasting to cultural exchanges.

Attending Commissioners, including Lyndon Olson, Vice Chairman, and Jay Snyder, Principal of HBJ Investments, LLC., discussed interagency collaboration in advancing U.S. government public diplomacy efforts.

The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy is a bipartisan panel created by Congress and appointed by the president to appraise U.S. government activities intended to understand, inform and influence foreign publics. It reports its findings and recommendations to the president, Congress, Secretary of State, and the American public.
