CPD Launches New Periodical: PDiN Monitor

This January, PDiN Monitor, an electronic review, joined a growing list of CPD publications. PDiN Monitor highlights significant public diplomacy news aggregated by the Center's PDiN Research team during January as well as original analysis from CPD staff, fellows, visiting scholars and occasional guest contributors on current PD efforts in the news.

"The intention is to showcase international stories and trends that in some cases may not readily appear germane to public diplomacy studies or practice, and to provide regular policy-relevant analysis for our readers," said Sherine Badawi Walton, CPD's Deputy Director and Editor of the new publication.

Regular sections in each issue of PDiN Monitor include:

  • PDiN Roundup – aggregation of top PDiN news items from six regions around the world tagged by category of public diplomacy practice and in-depth analysis of an emerging PD development or trend;

  • PDiN Extras – commentary and policy recommendations based on a particular PD story;

  • PD in Print – new reports and papers from CPD and other sources;

  • Upcoming PD Events of Interest - listing of PD events for the coming month.
