Visualead: Generate Visual QR Codes

Visualead is a website that allows users to create personalized visual QR codes -- scannable barcodes that lead to a designated webpage. These codes are an especially popular marketing tool in China. India has also used this tool before, but in a more traditional public diplomacy campaign wherein QR codes were used to reach out to their diaspora. The first versions of QR codes were monochromatic, but by incorporating color and images the new visual QR codes allow for branding and further public diplomacy opportunities.
