Katharina E. Höne is a research associate in diplomacy and global governance with DiploFoundation, a non-profit foundation established by the governments of Malta and Switzerland that works to increase the role of small and developing states, and to improve global governance and international policy development. With Barabara Rosen Jacobson, she leads a Diplo research project commissioned by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which investigates the impact of big data on diplomacy. She also teaches extensively on issues in diplomacy, both traditional and new, and global governance. She developed an eight-week highly interactive online course on Education Diplomacy (with the Center for Education Diplomacy) and is currently finalizing a seven-week course on Negotiation Skills for Civil Society (also with the Center for Education Diplomacy). In 2014, she completed her doctorate in international relations theory at the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University. She also holds a master in diplomatic studies from the University of Leicester.
