Shalom M. Konstantino is a Communications Strategist in the Office of Global Communications Strategy within the Bureau of Global Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. With a distinguished career in public affairs, Shalom has designed and led strategic communication campaigns that advance U.S. foreign policy objectives and strengthen internal engagement across the Department.
Shalom previously served as Special Assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary and Spokesperson for the Bureau of Global Public Affairs, where he supported senior leadership on high-profile communications initiatives. His overseas assignments include roles in the Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, North Macedonia; the Regional Consular Office at the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany; and the Ambassador’s office at the U.S. Embassy in Cotonou, Benin. At each post, Shalom has prioritized building strong partnerships between the U.S. government and local communities and institutions.
A native of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Shalom is recognized for his advocacy, leadership, and dedication to public service. He is married to Michael M. Konstantino, a Foreign Service Officer who currently serves as Counselor of Embassy for Management Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile.
