CPD Internship

Description

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy is looking to hire a USC student intern with both strong written and video/multimedia skills to join our team. The position will provide broad exposure to public diplomacy communication efforts to a global audience of practitioners, researchers and those in exchange and cultural fields across platforms and channels. Experience with data analytics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and design graphics for social media in CPD's voice and style 
  • Edit videos for web and social platforms
  • Copyedit blog posts, articles and summaries
  • Analyze data to create analytics reports for communication efforts
  • As-needed, assist with CPD's marketing/PR functions

Terms and Duration

Approximately 10 hours/week; starting May 18, 2026. Ideally candidates will be available 5 hours per week May 18, 2026, through May 7, 2027.

Compensation

$17.50/hour

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient in various Adobe Creative Suite programs and/or other video editing and design tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word's editing features
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Copyediting experience, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple priorities/projects
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Willingness to collaborate frequently with multiple team members
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and team setting
