The USC Center on Public Diplomacy is pleased to announce the 10th annual 2015 Summer Institute program, to be held from July 5 through July 17, 2015.
For over ten years, CPD’s Summer Institute has been the go-to leadership development program for diplomats, non-state actors, international organizations, scholars, and business executives. As the field of public diplomacy rapidly evolves, CPD has expanded its training program with specific attention to digital tools, multimedia storytelling, current research methods, emerging economies, creativity and leadership, and conducting public diplomacy in “hostile” posts. Participants will take part in lectures, presentations, simulations, and small group discussions with leaders in the field.
The CPD Summer Institute attracts participants of the highest caliber from a wide range of public diplomacy career fields including foreign ministries, intelligence and economics agencies, military, media, defense and homeland security, public relations, and the private sector.
Graduates of the Summer Institute hail from a number of international organizations including the African Union, the British Council, CENTCOM, ECOWAS, Israel Defense Forces, the United Nations and the World Bank. Almost 30 countries have been represented over the past seven years, including Brazil, Canada, Ghana, India, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Rwanda, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
