The Diplomat: The Life and Legacy of Ambassador Holbrooke
On February 16, CPD hosted David Holbrooke, son of the late Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, for a behind the scenes look at his new documentary, The Diplomat. The film unpacks the remarkable life and legacy of Holbrooke’s “Ambassador Dad,” whose 50-year career included service in Afghanistan and Vietnam, not to mention brokering the Dayton Peace Accords, which ended the war in Bosnia. The Diplomat is an intimate look at high stakes diplomacy, foreign policy and front-line communications, as well as a lesson in U.S. diplomatic history.
More information about the film, including an interactive digital guide to Ambassador Holbrooke’s career, is available here.
