How good is your country? That’s the question Simon Anholt, policy adviser and founder of the Good Country Index, posed to 162 nations in his recently updated Good Country Index. Using data generated by 35 key indicators from sources including the United Nations, the World Bank and other international organizations, the index measures a nation’s contributions to the greater good of humanity relative to its economy. Topping the list of “goodest” countries were Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, with Mauritania, Equatorial Guinea and Libya ranking last.
