PD Magazine: Sports Diplomacy

Public Diplomacy Magazine's Winter 2013 issue focused on Sports Diplomacy. This issue focuses on the role of sports in public diplomacy. The features address how sports diplomacy is increasingly used as a tool of public diplomacy and situates the discussion in a broader one about the nature of diplomacy in general. This is supplemented with a variety of case studies on different specific sports diplomacy initiatives as well as an interview about skate diplomacy. Starting a new PD Magazine tradition, the endnote is an interview with Undersecretary of State of Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Tara Sonenshine that focuses on the Summer 2013 theme, "The Pacific Century" (for more information on the Call for Submissions, see below).
