Plunging into K-Culture

As part of a larger initiative that seeks to strengthen public diplomacy capacities with the participation of the Korean citizenry, the Korean Foundation's Public Diplomacy Camp brings together youth from a total of 11 countries in Asia to interact with their Korean counterparts and experience Korean culture.

Now in its second year, the camp aims to raise awareness of public diplomacy among Korean students ages 17-19 and to encourage them to participate in public diplomacy activities alongside participants from different countries across Asia.

The video below is an overview of the camp and the impact that its latest incarnation had on 19 Korean students and 19 foreign participants this past July, 2019.

"The KF Public Diplomacy Camp hosted by the Korea Foundation allows young foreigners interested in Korean culture and young Koreans in international exchange to build friendship over the course of a week," explains Sunyoung Hwang, Program Officer at the Korea Foundation.
