Public Diplomacy is America's Best Foreign Policy Tool

The CPD Advisory Board has released a new position paper, “Making the Case for U.S. Public Diplomacy,” highlighting the role of public diplomacy as an essential foreign policy tool.

This paper, signed by all members of the CPD Advisory Board, expands upon an op-ed, “American public diplomacy is our country's best foreign policy tool,” published September 19, 2017 in The Hill and authored by CPD Advisory Board Chair Mel Levine, CPD Advisory Board Member Rockwell Schnabel and CPD Director Jay Wang.

The position paper outlines the value of advancing American core values through public diplomacy practice in the current global context.
