Spotify: Music for Awareness

Spotify is a digital music service. With 20 million songs in a number of languages and 18 global offices, Spotify reaches more than 100 million people around the world. While known as a music streaming service, Spotify has more recently positioned itself as a platform for public diplomacy, raising awareness about current topics such as Black History Month and the earthquake in Ecuador. Spotify has since created a playlist called Fuerza Ecuador to stand in solidarity with those affected by the earthquake, with the added benefits of advocacy and fundraising.
