Aimed at promoting cultural diplomacy with India, leading British arts and cultural institutional heads are meeting with various artists, scholars and museum officials to promote contemporary art, architecture, textiles and museums.

India and Britain Thursday inked a cultural pact at the end of the two-day visit of British Prime Minister David Cameron, which will further increase academic and artistic exchanges between the two nations.

Following a one-week orientation period in Jakarta, the students will spend three months in various cultural centers around the archipelago such as Bandung, Solo and Yogyakarta learning about Indonesian art, language and culture.

The Vermont Institute on the Caribbean, better known as VIC, organized a cultural baseball exchange in 2007. Sending kids and parents to the Dominican Republic, they are housed with local families, learning about their way of life and of course, baseball.
