The sixth edition of the Latin American and Caribbean Outsourcing and Offshoring forum, Outsource2LAC 2017 will be held in San José, Costa Rica, March 15 and 16. Outsource2LAC is a business meeting organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Costa Rica Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER), with the objective of sharing good practices and experiences of the sector, as well as generating business and investment opportunities for the small and medium size enterprises of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Argentina will have the opportunity to represent Latin America at the UN Security Council, said Foreign Minister Hector Timerman in reference to the presidency his country will play in that organ this month. Timerman made these statements after two meetings President Cristina Fernandez held last night with Brazil's Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota, and the president of the Inter-American Development Bank, Luis Alberto Moreno, Telam news agency reported here.

The Women’s Entrepreneurial VentureScope—launched by the Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund on July 25—is the first comprehensive assessment to score Latin America’s best and worst environments for women business owners of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
