About 1,100 participants from 38 countries and regions will participate in the 2017 China International Skills Competition and International Forum on Skills and Development that kicks off in Shanghai and Suzhou today. After joining the WorldSkills International (WSI) in October 2010, China has dedicated itself in the development of world skills. It has integrated deeply with WSI’s global family, and is now bidding to hold the 46th WorldSkills Competition (WSC) in 2021 in Shanghai. Its bidding slogan is “New Youth, New Skills, New Dream.”

Ahead of youth month, Brand South Africa has partnered with the Sunday Times Generation Next to host this year’s youth marketing conference. The conference looks at youth brand preference and consumer behavior and explores how the youth can drive growth in local brands. This partnership is in line with Brand South Africa’s domestic objective of promoting and championing programmes that enhance the Nation Brand. 

A unique exchange programme that will connect Abu Dhabi schools with thousands of children from across the world was announced on Monday. The 'One School One Country' programme is part of WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017, the biggest vocational skills competition coming to the emirate in October this year.

he annual International Youth Summer School was brought to China by the Youth Time International Movement, which was founded in December 2010 in Prague. It seeks to bridge communication among different cultures and different age groups. The previous five summer camps were all held in European cities.
