An 11-person delegation from Gunpo, South Korea, recently completed a Sister City visit to the City of Clarksville that included tours of City facilities, a local factory and visits to RiverFest and local entertainment venues. In 1999, Gunpo and Clarksville both approved an agreement establishing a Sister City relationship, designed to expand cultural understanding and cooperation.

Fatima and Khan are exchange students at Maryville College. They came to East Tennessee through the U.S. Department of State's Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Euroasia & Central Asia, a highly competitive scholarship program designed to provide cross-cultural education and understanding.

Jerry Seinfeld isn't kidding — he's going to donate all the proceeds from one of his Nashville shows to help flood victims in the city and throughout Tennessee.The proceeds from Friday's show at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, just a few blocks from the scene of widespread flood damage, will be split between the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
