Turkey's economic growth, global trade perspective and soft power capacity are its best assets for the expansion and deepening of Turkey's relations with Latin America. Already at home with new economic opportunities and cultural diversity, Turkey is exploring different possibilities to have stronger bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

It's natural that all countries have different aims in foreign policy and different ways to attain them. However, one aim has been common for all cultures – spreading influence. Turkey is the only Muslim majority NATO member country with a decade long stability record in its economy, offering low corporate income taxes for entrepreneurs and a large domestic market. Spending 2.7 percent of GDP for its military, we can say Turkey is a diplomacy player but it is neither rich enough nor is it active enough in terms of using its military might to be an effective actor in the region.

Building on a legacy of connecting people through cultural exchanges, Qatar Museums officially launched Qatar Turkey 2015 during a VIP reception held at the Museum of Islamic Art on Tuesday evening.

The first forum of Cooperation between Universities in Sudan and Turkey was convened in the framework of reinforcing the scientific and cultural relations between the two countries.  It targeted active participation in achieving the renaissance and qualifying teaching staff members and students in the Universities.

The house of late Turkish businessman Mohamed Ali in Harar, a town 525km east of Addis Ababa, reflects the strong cultural relations that go back more than a century.  The house is now being transformed into a museum that will exhibit the culture and heritage of both countries.

As the killings at a French satirical magazine stunned the world last week,Turkey’s government went on a mission: to defend its brand of political Islam. In a summary of comment by Turkish officials distributed by the prime minister’s Office of Public Diplomacy, the words “Islam,” “Islamophobia” and “Muslim” were mentioned 17 times. Columnists at pro-government newspapers suggested the attacks were planned by intelligence services to justify hostility to Muslims. Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu warned that Europe was becoming more anti-Islamic.
