Jacob Stenberg works as an Analyst and Regional Adviser to the Americas at the Department of Thematic Communication and Analysis at the Swedish Institute (SI). As an analyst, Jacob conducts regular studies and writes reports concerning the image and relevance of Sweden abroad. In addition, Jacob is in charge of the SI's big data project that examines how Sweden is portrayed on digital platforms. As a regional adviser Jacob's role is to facilitate dialogue between the SI and the Swedish embassies in the Americas and the America unit at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It also entails analyzing political and social trends in the region and their implications for the SI's work. Jacob obtained his Ph.D. at Lund University (Department of Media and Communications Studies). His dissertation is titled, The Communicative State.
