Félicia Tapia, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, received a master’s degree in Journalism in 2020 from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where she was a CPD Graduate Student Fellow in Journalism. She received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Middlebury College.

Before attending USC, Félicia dabbled in a variety of subjects such as biology and political science before settling in as a history student. She found the perfect space to study her favorite topics by writing about the role of journalism at important turns in history, such as the Cuban Revolution and the Iranian Revolution. Félicia got her first taste in the reporter’s chair while studying in Paris, where she worked on translations and social media content in a small International newsroom. This shaped her interest in translation, international relations, and international reporting. When she came back to the U.S., she decided to spend her time outside of the classroom in small newsrooms.
