Dr. Vedat Demir is a visiting scholar at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, where he previously served as an Einstein Guest Researcher supported by the Einstein Foundation Berlin. He was also a Philipp Schwartz Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the University of Potsdam. Prior to his academic work in Germany, he served as Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Publicity at Istanbul University until 2016. His research focuses on journalism, political communication, and public diplomacy.
