Amanda served as President of APDS for the 2013-14 term. She graduated in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and had the opportunity of studying one semester in Leiden, Netherlands. Before knowing what International Relations or even Public Diplomacy was, she had a great interest in religions around the world and how they shape the identity of a community. Through Public Diplomacy, Amanda found a way of combining her interest in religions, identity creation, popular culture, and entertainment-education.
She has interned at NGO’s working on Corporate Social Responsibility and Media and Society. In the future, she sees herself creating media projects for children that involve multicultural relations and tolerance, and being an academic in Public Diplomacy. In her spare time, she likes to solve word-puzzles, collect all kind of objects, and dance.
