Symposium on the Theory and Practice of Public Diplomacy

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy, Dean Ernest J. Wilson III, and the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism was pleased to host a visit of a senior delegation from Peking University School of International Studies.

Scholars in attendance included: Deputy Dean Guan Guihai, Deputy Dean Fan Shiming, Professor Yu Wanli, Professor Gui Yongtao, Professor Wang Dong and Professor Zhang Qinmin.

The occasion of the visit was to finalize and celebrate a new partnership and the establishment of a joint Center for U.S.-China Diplomacy and Public Communication.

The speakers focused on public diplomacy at the USC Center on Public Diplomacy, the Master of Public Diplomacy program at the USC Annenberg School, and China's public diplomacy initiatives. A round-table discussion, and presentations by the visiting delegation immediately followed.
