KEEP READINGA Brush with Artistic Exchange
Renowned artist Fanfan Wu has a knack for combining Eastern and Western art styles in her work. She was born in China and went to university there, studying under Chinese professors educated in Russian realism.
Wu was later influenced by American pop art after Andy Warhol visited China in search of an artistic exchange and offered her sponsorship in the United States. Her integration of cultures goes beyond the art itself—she even uses both Western and Chinese brushes to create her pieces.
To learn more about Wu's work, watch the full video by ShawTV South Vancouver Island here.
