Music to Inspire the World

OneBeat is an ongoing music diplomacy program that started in 2012 as an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational Affairs in collaboration with the New York-based music organization Found Sound Nation.
The program brings together 25 selected musicians from countries across five continents to collaborate in the U.S. for a month to write, produce and perform original music, and to develop ways in which music can make a positive impact on their local and global communities. The OneBeat 2018 cohort will be announced soon, so stay tuned as CPD's PD Hub multimedia follows the evolution of the program through these international music collaborations.
