Groundbreaking music diplomacy fellowship OneBeat announced in December its first program to take place in Latin America: OneBeat Colombia 2019.
For those not familiar with OneBeat, it is an exchange program produced by Found Sound Nation in partnership with Bang on a Can and the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. OneBeat brings together musicians from around the world to collaborate through musical creation and performance.
OneBeat Colombia 2019 will convene 15 adventurous musicians from Colombia, Venezuela and the U.S. to write new music, lead community workshops and give public performances along the Pacific Coast. Applications are open until February 15.
